The Indiana Department of Transportation is awarding $155.6 million to 51 cities, towns, and counties.
The federal funding will go towards local road and bridge improvements and sidewalk projects.
Nearly 6 million dollars was awarded to three tri-state counties.
Warrick will receive $1.5 million for county bridges, Spencer was awarded $2 million and Gibson received $2.5 million.
Each year INDOT dedicates around 25 percent of its federal highway funds to supporting local projects.
