Despite protests by animal shelters locally, Indiana governor Eric Holcomb has signed House Bill 1412, the so-called Puppy Mill Bill.
As we reported last week, the measure cancels local ordinances that do not allow the sale of dogs in retail pet stores.
Last week, two local shelters put on events to call attention to the bill and their opposition to it, and encouraged Governor Holcomb to veto it.
