A 43-year-old Vincennes man accused of dealing drugs was arrested in Knox County and is awaiting extradition to Vanderburgh County.
Deputies were called to Highway 41 and Hillsdale Road for a domestic violence report on February 12.
The victim told deputies that Charles Lewis Jones Jr. threatened her and refused to let her out of the vehicle.
She claims Jones stopped the car and got out with a lockbox containing a gun.
A Sheriff’s Office K9 team searched the area and found the lock box near a road in some tall grass with a stolen pistol and ammunition inside.
They also found two plastic bags, one containing meth and the other fentanyl.
Over two weeks later deputies, US Marshals, and Indiana State Police troopers found Jones in Knox County.
After his arrest, deputies discovered that Jones had a bag of fentanyl.
Jones faces felony charges of Dealing Meth, Dealing Fentanyl, 2 counts of Criminal Confinement, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Serious Violent Felon.
