A 26-year-old Evansville woman was arrested after letting a 12-year-old drive.
Shortly after 1 AM Monday, a man called 911 to report his sister-in-law Lindsey Pearson took three kids out “joyriding.”
Pearson admitted to picking up the three children after having a drink at Rick’s Sports Bar.
Pearson reportedly told police that she was trying to teach one of the juveniles, a 12-year-old boy, how to drive.
Officers claim she admitted the child drove her and the two other juveniles on Pollack Avenue and then south towards the riverfront and back.
Officers claim that when Pearson was taken into custody, she was screaming outside the apartment complex at two in the morning.
Pearson faces charges of child neglect, resisting law enforcement, disorderly conduct, and criminal recklessness.
