The Vanderburgh County Election board held a meeting with county party chairs to review challenges to those who filed to run for offices in the coming primaries.
The Board reviewed 18 candidate challenges.
They heard from candidates who pled their cases, and from those who issued challenges.
In the end, 11 of the 18 challenged candidates won’t be on the primary ballots in May.
They are:
- Michael Lockard for County Commissioner D-3
- Chelsea Barrus for Precinct Committeeman
- Glenna Bower for Delegate
- Brian Boone for Precinct Committeeman
- Levi Christmas for Precinct Committeeman
- Brandi Durham Pugh for Precinct Committeeman and Delegate
- John Jay Geary II for Precinct Committeeman and Delegate
- Shane Allen Gray for Precinct Committeeman
- Trey Meny for Precinct Committeeman
- Arba Rupert for Precinct Committeeman
- Blair Scott for Precinct Committeeman
Those challenged who WILL be on the May Primary Ballot are:
- Amy Canterbury for County Commissioner D-3
- John K. Hahn for Precinct Committeeman
- Chinno Rivera for Delegate
- Maytes Rivera for Precinct Committeeman and Delegate
- Michael Daugherty for Precinct Committeeman and Delegate
- Cassee Vivian for Precinct Committeeman
