The first case of measles in Indiana since 2019 has been reported by the Indiana Department of Health.
Health officials confirm a Lake County resident contracted the highly contagious respiratory disease.
Symptoms start with a fever, cough, runny nose, and red eyes, a rash starts on the hairline and face and spreads.
IDOH says that the risk to the public is low.
