An Evansville Woman is facing charges of child neglect after Child Protective Services stopped by her home on Belvidere Drive on Saturday.
28-year-old JME Funk allowed her children to live in a dirty home.
Deputies say they could smell a “tremendous odor” of cat urine and feces when they walked up to the door.
Clothing was scattered across the living room and the sink and stove were reportedly unusable because of dirty pots and pans piled on them.
Funk told authorities that she had cleaned the house a couple of days earlier.
The children were removed from the home and Funk was arrested.
