A Gibson County man is dead after a tree fell on him.
It happened at about 4:30 pm in Washington Township, on East State Road 56 near North 450 East.
Fire officials say the man was trying to cut a tree on his property when the tree fell, injuring him fatally.
The coroner was called to the scene.
Crews used a local wrecker service and airbags to lift the tree.
No names have been released at this time.
