An Evansville man was found guilty Thursday for breaking into a home last summer.
In the early hours of July 25th officers were dispatched to a home on the 2000 block of N. Weinbach Avenue for a residential burglary call.
The victim was alerted by her camera system that there was a motion inside her deceased brother-in-law’s house.
When police made it to the scene a back door swung open and a man, later identified as Michael Lucero Jr. ran out.
Once apprehended, stolen items were found in his backpack.
Sentencing is scheduled for February 16.
