Vanderburgh County Sheriff Noah Robinson confirms authorities are investigating the death of a 6-month-old baby.
Authorities were dispatched to the 6100 block of Dana Drive in response to a father who found his baby dead Thursday morning.
The death was considered suspicious.
Deputies say the home was found in deplorable conditions.
25-year-old Shane Hedrick admitted to injuring his son.
He was arrested on multiple charges.
The baby’s mother, Loreena Nance was charged with neglect of a dependent.
Both were arrested last September after children were removed from their mobile home.
