Business Owner Is Accused Of Ripping Off Homeowner

Indiana State Police arrested a contractor for theft following an investigation that began in December.

A homeowner reported she paid 49-year-old John McKinley over $10,000 after he allegedly advised her the whole HVAC system needed to be replaced.

He never returned to complete the work.

McKinley is the owner of Mckinley Heating and Air.

The investigation included interviews and a review of bank transactions.

McKinley is currently in the Washington County Jail.
