A Mt. Vernon man classified as a serious felon was sentenced to 12 years in prison yesterday.
Mt. Vernon Police responded to 34-year-old Jack Anderson’s residence last September.
This was about shots fired inside his home with children present.
During a search, a small amount of marijuana was found.
As officers were placing Anderson into custody, he spit on and grabbed one of the officers.
He will be transported to the Indiana Department of Correction to serve his sentence.
