Indiana State Police arrested 34-year-old Daimion Garrett yesterday after he eluded troopers during a pursuit last week on I-69.
Last Thursday Garrett was pulled over for speeding.
When the trooper approached the driver he detected a strong odor of cannabis.
The driver sped away southbound on I-69 before taking the Covert Avenue exit disregarding stop signs and traffic lights.
The chase was terminated for safety reasons after the vehicle entered the city limits of Evansville.
He is lodged in the Vanderburgh County Jail.
