Several Evansville businesses and homes were left without power early this morning after a hit-and-run accident.
The call came in about 2 am for an accident involving a car and a utility pole at the corner of St. Joseph Avenue and West Franklin Street.
About a thousand CenterPoint customers were darkened by the wreck.
The power has been restored.
