A Posey County officer is recovering from injuries sustained while trying to make a traffic stop on Monday. An eastbound motorcycle was ahead of officers and began to speed up as the rider noticed them. The bike eventually turned on Leonard Road, ignoring a stop sign and was finally stopped. The suspect, 29 year old Dustin Neace tried to turn his bike around, when an officer grabbed him. A struggle ensured during which the officer dislocated his shoulder. Another officer arrested Neace and assisted his colleague.
