Evansville firefighters responded to a fire last night at the Alvey Sign Company on North Green River Road and State Road 57.
The fire was in the back of the building and – although State Road 57 was closed for almost an hour due to a possible gas leak near the fire – Center Point Energy secured the scene and firefighters put out the fire.
No one was hurt. The cause of the fire hasn’t been determined.
