The Evansville Parks Board has terminated a land use agreement with South Baseball to oversee baseball in Vann-Pollack Park.
At Wednesday’s meeting, the parks board cited unpaid bills and some drama with the person who originally signed the document, including a police investigation.
That person has resigned from the baseball league.
A new group known as River City Baseball hopes to take over the league with promises to eliminate problems with upkeep and vandalism.
Group members want to be sure that every kid who wants to play can get in the game.
