In a nail-biter of a finish, the Las Vegas Aces defeated the New York Liberty last night, becoming the first team in over 2 decades to win back-to-back WNBA championships.
With the game tied at 64, Princeton native Jackie Young scored four straight points to give the Aces a 68-64 lead with just over 2 minutes left.
Young still holds the overall scoring record in Indiana high school basketball.
New York had one last chance to win in the final seconds, but the shot missed.
The final score was 70 to 69.
