The annual “Antler Alert” issued by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet reminds drivers that the peak season for deer-vehicle collisions is upon us.
About half of all deer-related crashes occur during the last three months of the year, with November having the most.
Last year in Kentucky there were over 3,000 highway crashes involving deer.
Those numbers were up from 2021.
If you see a deer crossing the roadway slow down immediately, they tend to travel in groups.
