An “Operation Lockdown” offender will spend the next eight years in prison.
42-year-old Jeffrey Bates of Mt. Vernon pled guilty to dealing in meth in court on Wednesday.
As part of his guilty plea, Bates admitted to delivering meth to an undercover police informant between October 2 and October 5 in 2020.
Bates is 1 of 16 people charged with drug-related offenses in “Operation Lockdown” which concluded in May 2021.
