Jasper Police have been getting reports from residents receiving a scam email.
The email address is “city parking at transportation dot com.”
The email claims that the recipient has a parking violation on the city’s square.
The email contains a Q-R code to scan for making a payment.
The city doesn’t use electronic means nor Q-R codes to effect payments for parking tickets.
JPD says if you get such an email don’t click any links and don’t scan the QR Code.
