An Evansville woman is accused of stealing a child’s homework after entering a home in the 900 block of Harriet Street Friday night.
The homeowner called the police after he found her inside his home.
Police arrived on the scene as 46-year-old April Thompson was leaving.
She told officers that she was taking items that belonged to her.
A blanket, a stuffed animal, and a child’s homework were found inside Thompson’s backpack.
Also found in her sweatshirt pocket was a smoking device with residue.
She was booked without bond and charged with burglary and possession.
