Book lovers and Halloween fans unite! The Altrusa Club of Evansville presents “BOOOO…KED” A Storybook Walk “Trail with a Tale” Halloween Event. You can experience classic Halloween stories in a new way with a Halloween-themed trail at Woodmere Park on October 21st from 10am to 12pm. This family friendly event encourages everyone to walk their storybook trail after reading the story first. Readers will then get to hear more great stories in the story telling area, along with plenty of outdoor games.
Other activities available include making birthday cards for homebound citizens, choosing a free book to take home (first 100 children) and enjoying Halloween treats. Children accompanied by parents will also be able to sign up for their very own library card to check-out books all year long. Everyone is invited to come dressed in their trick-or-treat outfit as well! Other sponsors include the Evansville/Vanderburgh Public Library and Your Brother’s Bookstore.
The event will be located at Woodmere Park at the AltrusaTrail with a Tale site (off Lincoln Avenue on the road to State Hospital–follow black and orange balloons). If there is bad weather, a makeup date of Sunday, October 22nd will take place from 1pm-3pm.
