The United States Postal Service has good news for the upcoming holiday season.
The postal service announced it will not levy any additional surcharges for customers.
Last year, they processed more than 11.7 billion mailpieces and packages during the holidays.
On average, it took just two and a half days to get to its destination.
In 2020 USPS was in crisis mode with a series of events caused by backlogs and delays.
New improvements include the hiring of an additional 10,000 seasonal employees and new package sorting machines.
USPS Operation Santa is accepting letters postmarked by December 11, 2023.
