The Evansville City Engineer’s office announced on Monday that the intersection at Vann Avenue and East Walnut Street is partially open to traffic.
Drivers are urged to approach the intersection with caution because of a new feature.
A raised section of the roadway called a speed table was installed to remind drivers that Walnut Street shares space with pedestrians and bicyclists.
Trying to navigate the raised section at high speeds risks damage to the vehicle and the road.
