A Friday night fight led to an assault with a deadly weapon charge for an Evansville man.
It happened in the 3000 block of Mt. Vernon Avenue.
One victim says he was crossing the street when Jerry Rainey acted like he was going to hit the victim with his car.
Rainey reportedly got out and started hitting the victim and another man with a club.
Rainey claimed one of the victims hit him with a weed whacker.
Rainey was taken to jail after a trip to the hospital.
