The top box office movie stars in 1973 were Burt Reynolds, Clint Eastwood, Robert Redford, and Barbra Streisand.
It was also the same year Showplace Cinemas first opened its doors on the north side of Evansville.
To celebrate their success they will have throwback pricing every Monday during September.
Mick Stieler, Showplace Cinemas President says he hopes to bring two movies from 1973 back to the theater “The Sting” and “The Way We Were” both starring Robert Redford.
Movie tickets will cost $2.50.
