The excessive heat is working air conditioning units to their full capacity this week.
Henderson Municipal Power & Light is asking their customers to reduce energy between noon and 8:00 pm until the heatwave is over.
The most effective way to do this is by raising the thermostat settings, limiting the use of appliances, and covering windows.
