Escalade Sports and Evansville Garage Doors are donating pickleball paddles, nets, and packs of pickleball to all 14 houses of the Evansville Fire Department.
They want to show their appreciation for their efforts in extinguishing the massive warehouse fire that neighbored the two businesses.
Brock Lance, of Evansville Garage Doors says he was sparked with the idea when he drove by a local fire station and saw the first responders playing pickleball outside during a break.
The fire happened over this past New Year’s holiday weekend.
