Downtown Owensboro is about to become the go-to place for musicians and aspiring musicians wanting custom-built guitars.
The erstwhile Bluegrass Museum located in the River Park Center will morph into the Kentucky Guitar Works at the Center for Lutherie.
Lutherie is the craft of making and maintaining string instruments.
The new facility, which should open early next year, will also host building apprenticeship programs and educational sessions for those wanting to learn to build instruments.
