Prosecutors are not pleased with a sentence handed down to a Mt. Vernon man.
36-year-old Michael Funkhouser was convicted of battery and attempting to disarm a Posey County officer in August 2021.
He was found to have a handgun and 10 grams of meth.
His original sentence was 12 years after pleading guilty to several charges but only ordered to 4 years with time served.
Instead of prison, Funkhouser will complete his sentence at the Posey County Community Corrections Center.
