Community members are invited to The National Night Out event at the C.K. Newsome Center in Evansville tonight from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
There will be free food and a children’s firefighting challenge course and a rope-repelling activity.
The Boonville Police Department will have its festivities at the City Lake from 5 pm to 7 pm.
National Night Out is celebrated on the first Tuesday in August to enhance the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement.
This is the 40th year and is held in all 50 states.
