The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office has arrested the parents of a five-month-old infant who suffered life-threatening injuries at his home.
Last Wednesday night, 23-year-old Cheyenne Elmore-Sitz and 31-year-old Javontae Goldsby called 9-1-1 to report their child wasn’t breathing.
Emergency crews were able to restore a pulse.
The baby was taken by ambulance to a children’s hospital in Indianapolis and is on life support.
The injuries are consistent with abusive head trauma and is not expected to live.
Their two-year-old child is now in the custody of The Department of Child Services.
