Former Evansville Parks Director Brian Holtz has reached a plea deal in the forgery and counterfeiting case against him.
A hearing was held in Gibson County yesterday.
Records show Holtz pleaded guilty to two counts of forgery, five counts of counterfeiting, and one count of official misconduct.
The charges date back to 2017 and have Holtz submitting counterfeit invoices totaling more than $13 million.
The city controller’s office says a conservative estimate puts the loss to the city at almost 365 thousand dollars.
