Tell City’s youth police academy has been renamed in honor of its founder.
Sgt. Heather Glenn started the youth police academy in 2022 and led its first class.
The second annual class finished up this past weekend.
Sgt. Glenn was shot and killed in the line of duty while trying to arrest a domestic disturbance suspect at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
The youth police academy has now been renamed “Sergeant Heather Glenn’s Youth Police Academy.
