Tuesday morning Vanderburgh County deputies were dispatched to Nurrenbern and Graff Roads near Burdette Park for a suspicious circumstance.
A perimeter was set up after deputies believed a pipe bomb was found on the side of the road.
Emergency crews were called to the scene, including the EPD Bomb Squad as a safety precaution.
The roadway was closed for approximately three hours during the investigation.
The suspicious device was determined to be a hoax and not a threat.
