The W.C. Handy Blues & Barbecue Festival is this evening at 5:00 at the Henderson Riverfront and runs through Saturday.
Family night is this evening with activities provided by the Henderson County Public Library.
Food trucks open at 5:00, so grab a bite to eat and enjoy the music line up starting with the End of the Line at 5:00.
Thursday is Zydeco Night with Cajun food being served in the Rex Jewell’s Red Beans & Rice tent at 5:30.
The festival is a celebration of the life and legacy of Henderson resident and “Father of the Blues” William Christopher Handy.
