A replica of a Portuguese Caravel-type ship used by Columbus and other explorers will tie up in Owensboro next month.
The floating museum, “Pinta,” will conduct dockside educational tours.
The ship will moor at English Park on Woodford Avenue from July 7 until she shoves off again July 17.
The Pinta was launched in 2005 after three years of construction in Brazil by Portuguese shipwrights using the same tools and methods used to build the original ship in the 15th century.
