Henderson police were sent to the 1600 block of Powell Street about 4:20pm yesterday in reference to a shooting.
There they found a female who had been shot several times.
Investigation showed other people had been shot at also.
Shortly after police arrived on scene, they located 21 year old Shon Denton-Higgs and charged him with attempted murder.
The victim was taken to an Evansville hospital and was last reported in critical condition.
