Area farmers are hoping there’s enough moisture in the ground so they won’t have to replant their crops.
The first weekend of June was a hot one and it’s been several weeks since there was a substantial rain.
One farmer says the hot temperatures and the lack of rain threatens his crop yield.
Some farmers are still planting, but the soil may be too dry for the roots to find moisture.
A good rain in the next week or so could mean everything to area farmers.
