Officer down! could be heard over the scanner this morning around 7:40.
Within minutes multiple officers were on scene to provide aid to one of their own.
The officer was placing a subject into custody in the Aiken Park area when he suffered a medical condition.
The officer was loaded onto an ambulance and rushed to the hospital.
Roads en route to the hospital were closed to traffic for AMR.
No word on the officer’s condition.
