A new low income housing program broke ground on Wednesday.
ECHO Housing hosted the ceremony for “The Promise Home” on Read Street in downtown Evansville.
Once completed, the new development will have 27 one-bedroom apartments aimed at providing stable housing for the chronically homeless.
