A Gibson County Sheriff Deputy stopped a speeding gray Kia on I-69 Wednesday morning.
21 year old Wyatt Stephens of Prairieville, Louisiana was identified as the driver.
During a roadside investigation it was discovered that the 2023 Kia K5 had been reported stolen out of Louisiana.
An Oakland City Officer arrived on scene to assist and detected the odor of alcohol coming from Stephens.
He was arrested and transported to the Gibson County Jail.
Louisiana is in the process of submitting an arrest warrant for the suspect on auto theft.
