A Mount Vernon woman was sentenced to eleven years in prison yesterday.
33 year old Desiree Coons was apprehended during the undercover drug bust “Operation Aftershock” in June 2020.
She was found guilty of selling meth out of her home while her two small children were present.
When officers arrived at Coon’s home to serve arrest and search warrants, three minor children were found in the apartment alone.
During the search more meth and drug paraphernalia was found within reach of the children.
While in prison, she is ordered to participate in the Recovery While Incarcerated Program.
