Part of the Indiana State Budget passed in this past session of the General Assembly could leave some money in your pocket.
A state income tax cut was supposed to become effective in 2029 after the state hit certain revenue-collecting benchmarks.
But now, lawmakers have removed those requirements and moved the tax cut up to 2027.
Another law passed in the 2023 long session studies whether Indiana should abolish its income tax altogether.
