The Pearl Cleaners building in downtown Evansville is sill an active scene.
At least two fire companies were called to a fire in the century-old building about 2:00 this morning.
The fire caused sparks to emit from a nearby power line before CenterPoint arrived and turned off the power in the area.
The building was believed to be unoccupied.
The cleaning business located there closed in 2017.
Avoid the area of NW 3rd St, NW 4th St and Bond St in downtown Evansville.
If you normally travel south on 1st Ave into downtown, you won’t be able to continue onto NW 3rd St.
