The Posey County Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic disturbance Friday morning just outside of Mt. Vernon.
The girlfriend of 51 year old John Murphy told police that he was attempting to break into the house.
Before police arrived, the suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction.
A K-9 began searching a nearby field and wooded area.
Murphy was located and treated for a wound he received during the K-9 apprehension.
Deputies arrested Murphy for on an outstanding warrant and transported him to the Posey County Jail.
His bond is set at $100,000.
