Emergency crews were dispatched to a house fire on the 200 block of East Iowa Street just after 3:30 this morning.
The 9-1-1 call was made by the woman who lives in the home.
She told dispatch she killed two pet lizards before the fire started.
Fire investigators found several rolls of paper towels inside that residence that had been set on fire.
When EFD arrived on scene, the woman was sitting on the front porch while the home was burning.
A firefighter was injured by falling debris and taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Neighboring residences had to be evacuated.
