Evansville firefighters arrived at Riverwalk Communities last Wednesday to find a small fire on the third floor.
Detectives were called in and they spoke to 52 year old Keith Hoffmann, who denied setting the fire.
Later, Hoffmann asked for office supplies from a worker, a request that was denied.
Hofffmann is then believed to have asked if the worker wanted him to burn down his office like the other one.
Hoffmann was jailed on an arson charge.
