Evansville Police responded to the 1300 block of Covert Avenue Friday night for a shooting.
The victim told officers he saw a man that looked disoriented and went to check on him.
The man walked 31 year old Ty Doss to buy cigarettes, and then walked towards the Auto Zone next to the Burger King.
Once behind the Auto Zone, Doss pulled a semi-automatic handgun on him and demanded money.
The man refused, and started to walk away when Doss fired one shot hitting him in the buttocks.
The victim ran inside the Burger King for Safety.
Doss was arrested and booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail.
